ABOUT
Lucy qualified in 2011 with an MA in Art Psychotherapy Practice from the Northern Programme for Art Psychotherapy in Sheffield. Since qualifying, Lucy has worked in mainstream and specialist education settings, private practice and the charitable sector. Lucy is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), completing the standard EMDR Europe accredited training in 2024.

Lucy has extensive experience of working with children, adolescents and adults with complex needs and experiences. Her specialisms are in developmental trauma, complex trauma, attachment issues, anxiety, low mood, depression, low self-esteem and confidence issues. Lucy has worked with children and adults who have experienced extremely distressing experiences, including sexual, physical and psychological abuse and neglect.

Lucy previously worked as the Head of Therapy in an outstanding SEMH school, leading a team of therapists. She has led the development of trauma sensitive practice and supported reflective practice groups.

Lucy is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT) and the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
